George Hunka was born in 1962 in Philadelphia and earned his BA degree in Languages and Literature from Bard College in 1983. His writing has appeared in a variety of publications, including The New York Times, the Guardian (UK), Time Out New York, and American Theatre. He now lives on the Lower East Side of Manhattan with his wife Marilyn Nonken and their two children.
